On this last day of SYMUN, the Security Council was completely divided in two groups because of the recognition of the independence of Taiwan.

But just when it seemed that the countries were coming together on an idea of their own, the President United Nations made a spontaneous appearance and recognized Taiwan as an independent state, an idea supported by half of the committee but completely rejected by the other half, led by China.

The first day of the SYMUN debate in the Security Council revolves largely around the prohibition of the development, production and stockpiling of biotoxic and toxic weapons.

SYMUN 2022 starts with a great opening ceremony and lots of motivational speeches which encourage the delegates to the point of turning their concerned faces into smiles of confidence.
