Security Council says goodbye with two topics well solved

On this last day of SYMUN, the Security Council was completely divided in two groups because of the recognition of the independence of Taiwan. But, to everyone's surprise, China and USA in private had negotiated some terms in benefit for all the committee. For this reason, the committee devoted the remainder of the morning to finalizing the resolution. In presenting it, only China submitted an amendment which was accepted by the Western bloc and thus approved and passed as valid.

Thus, this committee finalized the two issues raised for this SYMUN 2022 in a quick and efficient manner, with the participation of all countries and resolving the crises as no other committee could have.
