Today, Monday 14th November, resolutions were finished and voted by the delegates. In the first instance, the resolutions that the delegates have been preparing since yesterday were presented and submitted. The aim of these resolutions was to contribute on putting an end to health issues regarding Sub-Saharan countries, specifically HIV, malaria and malnutrition.

Poland, Zimbabwe and Argentina were the first ones, with a resolution focused on “the cooperation between developed and underdeveloped”, as they believe some can provide financial help and others can contribute helping in different ways, hoping they can become economically stable and auto sufficient in the future.

The most voted resolution was the one with Venezuela, Yemen, Nigeria, Brazil and China as sponsors. They recognised and committed to contribute to the reduction of inequality between Sub-Saharan countries. The allocation of funds to education and infrastructures was emphasized. These countries committed to making tests for malaria and HIV free for all the citizens. In this matter, they focus on enhancing malaria preventing methods, specifically insecticide treated mosquito nets, as they are “inexpensive and effective”. In conclusion, they stated that what they intend to achieve with this resolution is “a long-term solution”.
